Birahini Damayanti Katha Summary

Damayanti goes on a journey to find her missing husband Nishadharaj Nal in the forest. While wandering, she meets a snake named Karkotak who tries to kidnap her. However, she manages to escape when he falls asleep due to drinking too much.

Damayanti continues her journey alone and meets a group of travelers led by a nomadic merchant named Sarthavah. They suggest that Nal may be found in a place called Chedi, so Damayanti joins them on their journey. While they are sleeping at a lake, wild elephants attack and kill many people.

Only one woman and ten people survive the attack and they continue their journey to Chedi. When they reach there, some children tease Damayanti and call her crazy. To hide her identity, she starts working for Sunanda's daughter, Sairandhri, hoping to find her husband.
